Are there particular films that have influenced your writing?

The humor in Dazed and Confused and Rushmore, to movies that take on big issues, like The Matrix and 2001.

Is there a genre of music that influences your writing/thinking? Do you listen to music while you write?

I can’t listen to words/lyrics while writing, but I find inspiration in different types of music, especially pop, rock, and alternative.

What period of history do you wish you knew more about?

The period between BC and AD.  I would be fascinated to know more about Jesus…you know there were some good stories that didn’t make it into the Bible.

Is there another profession you would like to try?

As a kid, I wanted to be a pro football player.  My career peaked in 6th grade, but I still think it would be fun to be a dominating middle linebacker.

Do you collect anything? If so, what, why, and for how long?

I’ve been curating my own little collection of favorite books by authors I admire.  Early editions with signatures/inscriptions are especially cool.
